Happy Solstice!

At 11:07 a.m. PDT (or so) this morning, the sun shall hit a point directly above the Tropic of Cancer, thus marking the beginning of the northern summer. Yay!

"Northern"?? I see you have increased awareness of the difference between the northern and southern hemisphere after your trip to New Zealand. :)

Yes, today is the day that the days starting getting shorter, fall is in the air, soon it will be winter. :(

I've GOT to get out onto the hiking trails soon.

No, I've been thinking of the southerners for quite some time. See September Equinox, 2005, March Equinox, 2006, and June Solstice, 2006.
