Presidential First Names

When it comes to choosing presidents, we Americans tend to stick to fairly ordinary, old-fashioned names. Apart from the occasional Ulysses or Dwight, they're all cut from the same mold.

We've elected six Jameses, four Johns, four Williams, three Georges, two Andrews, and two Franklins.

The same holds true for the runners-up, as well. Recently, George beat John, George beat Albert, William beat Robert, William beat George, George beat Michael, Ronald beat Walter, Ronald beat James, James beat Gerald, Richard beat George, Richard beat Hubert, Lyndon beat Barry, and John beat Richard.

So the real question is this: Are we ready for a Hillary? Or a Barack?! I think not. The next president must be a John or a Fred. Rudolph on the outside, or Willard if we're feeling strange.
