Internal
I'm not quite used to my new internal-frame backpack yet. It took me a full hour to pack for my hike this weekend!
Royal decrees; interesting things I find; photographs I've taken; random thoughts on politics and culture as I know 'em; holidays both real and imaginary; and a fantasy novel page-by-page. "I hate hippies." -- Alicia Spanhake, Honorary Baroness of Síporozorígí |

How long does it usually take you?
A half hour.
It takes Pedicularis upwards of three hours or so...
More like 4-6 hours for the first hike of the season, checking every little bag to see if I have everything, planning and packaging my food. Only took a couple of hours for my dayhike yesterday, even though I carried a full pack with food for a full day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and trail snacks). I tried to carry exactly what I want to be carrying when I complete a 50-mile hike.
