Day 15 - Eugene

I've grown weary of traveling.

This morning, I went up to Mt. Shasta, but the last few miles of the road were closed (due to snow, I guess, but I didn't see any), so I didn't get to do the dayhike I wanted to.

But here's a picture of me as far as I got:

I had considered going to Crater Lake, but I just didn't feel like it anymore. Once on I-5 northbound, I stayed on I-5 northbound. Oh well. I'll tour Oregon some other time.

Two weeks is a good vacation. Going home early will give you time to download ALL your great pictures before you head back to work... assuming you don't hike in the Cascades this weekend.

So are you going to come home early?

That is a lot of snow for Mt. Shasta in mid-July. It is usually snow-free by the end of summer, but I'm not so sure it will be this year. BTW, climbing MSH is allowed after July 21. :)
