Day 12 - Taupo

I forgot to say: Happy Waitangi Day!

It's the New Zealand national holiday. Kinda like the Fourth of July, but with a 15% surcharge at restaurants. Ain't that great?

Today's been a lazy day. After the five-hour drive up here to Taupo, all we've done is walk around town and sit down by the (very large) lake. Windsurfers and float planes and a pair of people in wetsuits swimming parallel to shore, a hundred yards out. Odd.
