dentist

My teeth are clean now.

Time for a coke!

. . . Apparently, I'm a moderate tooth-grinder and the signs have not stopped gradually accumulating over the past couple years. So I'm going to get a nightguard. The mold will be cast next week. And isn't it always fun to have a mouth full of that goop?

Congratulations on getting a nightguard!

The goop is agony for me. I am almost gagging the whole time the goop is in my mouth. It is the awful smell. Ugh.

nightguard? Sounds like something... something you might wear if you wet the bed.

I bought one of those tooth grider thingies at the store. Boil it in water, put it in your mouth and let it sit for a while.. and voila! Makes a mold of your teeth.

A nightguard is a plastic thingy that clips to your teeth (usually upper teeth) to provide padding between the upper and lower teeth. It is used to prevent damage to the teeth from grinding, and to prevent strain to the jaw muscles (called TMJ) due to the misalignment of the jaw when teeth are clenched at night.
