Here's Waitomo. Chunlin was a bit shocked to see the airplane and hear me say this is where we're staying the night. Made up for last night, that's for sure.
The cockpit is mostly intact -- two chairs, many buttons and dials and switches. Very warm up there, despite the tarp over the plane. Start sweating after thirty seconds. That bed up there is nighttime only. There's a bed below the cockpit, too, thankfully. And kitchenette and bath. And tv. Dr Phil. Couch, table. Door sill that draws blood. ... This was the last Allied plane out of Vietnam. 1950s Bristol Freighter, they say. I'll take their word for it.
Dr Phil is talking to cheating couples. ... Hobbit land around these parts, especially up north near Tirau - green rolling hills, very idyllic. Cows, no sheep. Oh, wait. I saw sheep, too.
