Your flower is a shooting star (Dodecatheon).
Was there a handrail protecting that family from falling off the cliff, or did they crawl over a handrail to get to that viewpoint?
I recognized the flower, yes.
They climbed over a handrail to get there. But lots of people were doing it, so it must have been safe!
