Today's Word for Today's Word of the Day

Polyisocyanurate (STYE-ruh-FOAM)

From the Latin "polyiso-" meaning "fake," "cyan" meaning "blue," and "-urate" meaing "stuff."

Used as roofing insulation. R-19 is about yay thick. It comes in colors besides blue, as well.

???

Alyssa, could you please explain the connection between polyisocyanurate insulation and a virus?

C'mon, Ped ol' boy, keep up! Even as I write, I'm still aflicted by the dreaded Viscusablutia virus. But don't worry, Alyssa. I haven't come down with Polyisocyanurate.

Which still doesn't explain why Alyssa said "another."

Oddly enough, I used the word "polyisocyanurate" in a report of mine yesterday. Talk about weird coincidences.

another = another virus.

I made a joke about Viscusablutia sounding like some kind of virus. Polyisocyanurate sounds like 'another' kind of virus.

Just a joke.. don't think too much ;-)
