I googled "st mary's pub" and it came up with 436 hits. The two most prominent St. Mary's Pubs are in San Francisco and San Antonio. I'm guessing it's a Catholic thing. Religion permeates every part of their life, including drinking.
If I was in a home, I would want a good stiff drink too!
