The Christmas area was open

I bought a Christmas tree yesterday. Artificial, of course. It's only four and a half feet tall, but that's enough for all my ornaments. Wouldn't want it overpowering my living room, either.

And I decorated it. I didn't put lights on it, though. That would be a bit much before Halloween...

That to me is the perfect size. I need a crew and a crane to set up the tree wife wants.

I usually (always) help my parents get a tree from one of the local U-cut places. A few years ago, me and my dad brought home a tree that was honestly over 18' tall. They have a double-height living room, but we did have to trim a few feet off the trunk so it didn't scrape the ceiling... "But Mom, you said you wanted a big tree!"

I can just see you & your dad going xmas tree shopping . . . very, very scary . . . LOL If there isn't too much snow, we go up the North Fork of the Taneum & get a white fir tree - fun to do & a fresh white fir always smells wonderful...
